The event is organised by Lions International – District 108 IA1 – Lions Club of Novara, in collaboration with the Municipality of Novara, AOU “Maggiore della Carità” of Novara, AILD, and ASL Novara. World Diabetes Day, held annually on 14 November, honours the birth of Canadian physiologist Frederick Grant Banting, who, alongside Charles Herbert Best, discovered insulin in 1921.\nThe conference will begin with opening remarks and is structured into three sessions, moderated by Professor Gianluca Aimaretti, Director of the Department of Translational Medicine at the University of Eastern Piedmont (UPO).
