GIORNATA MONDIALE del DIABETE pillole di Diabete a NOVARA

In alignment with World Diabetes Day, a conference titled “Pillole di Diabete” will take place on Tuesday, 21 November 2024, at the Aula Magna of Palazzo Bellini, via Solaroli 17, Novara. The event is organised by Lions International – District 108 IA1 – Lions Club of Novara, in collaboration with the Municipality of Novara, AOU “Maggiore della Carità” of Novara, AILD, and ASL Novara. World Diabetes Day, held annually on 14 November, honours the birth of Canadian physiologist Frederick Grant Banting, who, alongside Charles Herbert Best, discovered insulin in 1921.
The conference will begin with opening remarks and is structured into three sessions, moderated by Professor Gianluca Aimaretti, Director of the Department of Translational Medicine at the University of Eastern Piedmont (UPO). Distinguished clinicians will lead each session: Dr. Gerolamo Farrauto for the first, Dr. Maurizio Leone for the second, and Dr. Chiara Anchisi for the concluding session.
The event will feature presentations by esteemed UPO faculty and industry leaders, including Professor Antonia Follenzi, Full Professor of Histology and Human Embryology and VANGUARD partner.
