Journée du Diabète at UNIGE

In alignment with World Diabetes Day, VANGUARD partners at the University of Geneva (UNIGE), invite you to their 21st annual open day, Journée du Diabète. This event offers a unique opportunity for the public and school groups to engage directly with researchers and clinicians, exploring lifestyle habits, biological mechanisms linked to diabetes, and tools to combat the disease, as well as the latest in diabetes research.

Structured in 30-minute presentations throughout the day, visitors can gain insights into topics such as the function of the pancreas, diabetes challenges, and clinical islet transplantation. This year’s sessions will conclude with a focus on the VANGUARD project’s research on enhancing islet transplantation outcomes.

• Admission: Open to the public, free entry with on-site registration
• School Groups (Secondary I & II): Pre-registration required
